EngageRocket Activation Link Expired — How to Get a New One
This article explains why your EngageRocket activation link has expired and gives you two ways to get a new one so you can complete your account setup.
⚠️ Who is this article for? This guide is for new EngageRocket users whose invitation or activation link is no longer working. If you haven't received your invitation email at all, see EngageRocket Invitation or Activation Email Not Received first.
EngageRocket invitation and activation links are valid for 7 days from when they are sent. If you did not complete your account setup within that window, the link will no longer work. The good news is that getting a new one is quick and straightforward.
💡 Where to start: Try the Forgot password? option first — you can do this yourself without needing to contact anyone, as long as your account has already been created in the system.
Option 1: Use "Forgot password?" to request a new link yourself
This is the fastest option and does not require any admin involvement.
- Go to the EngageRocket login page.
- Click Forgot password? below the Sign In button.
- Enter the email address your original invitation was sent to.
- Click Send reset link. You will receive a new email within a few minutes.
- Open the email, click the reset link promptly, and follow the steps to set your password and complete your account activation.
Option 2: Ask your Entity Admin to resend the invitation
If the Forgot password? option does not work, your Entity Admin can resend your invitation directly from the platform. They will go to the Entity Users tab, find your account listed with a status of Expired, and click Resend Invitation. This gives you a fresh 7-day activation window.
Something Not Working?
I used "Forgot password?" but got an error saying my account doesn't exist.
- Likely cause: Your account may not have been fully created in the system yet, or it was created with a different email address.
- Action: Contact your Entity Admin and ask them to re-invite you using the correct email address. Do not use Forgot password? again until the account has been confirmed.
I received a new link but it expired again before I could use it.
- Likely cause: Password reset links expire quickly — typically within 1 hour of being sent.
- Action: Request a new link and use it immediately. Keep the email open and do not delay clicking the link once it arrives.
⚠️ Important: Only your Entity Admin can re-invite you if your account does not yet exist in EngageRocket. If you are unsure who your Entity Admin is, check with your HR or IT team.
