You can design a new project in a few simple steps. Check out our video guide or follow the steps below.

The Design Survey page is made up of three parts; 

  • Question Library
  • Design
  • Preview

Question Library

In the question library you can select well-researched questions from different topics. Simply click on a topic and add the questions you would like to include in your survey.


When you go to Design you will see EngageRocket's standard question split into different sections such as 'Networks / Relationships', 'Commitment', and 'Values and goals'. However, you can customise the survey to your need.

Below, you can find a list of the many features you have available:

Edit/delete sections

  1. Click on the icon to the right of the section name. 

Add section

  1. Click Add Question Section in the top-left corner
  2. Give the section a name
  3. Add question(s)

Add question(s)

  1. Click Add Question
  2. Select question type (open-ended or rating scale)
  3. Type question under Content
  4. Click save

Edit/delete questions

  1. Click on the icon to the right of the question

Making a question mandatory

  1. Click on the icon to the right of the question
  2. Tick the box An answer is required to this question

Reorder questions

  1. Click Reorder question sections or Reorder Questions in the top-left corner
  2. Drag and drop the sections/questions you would like to reorder
  3. Click Finish Reordering Question Sections or Finish Reordering Questions

Customise welcome and thank you message

  1. Click in the text box
  2. Type the content
  3. Click Save


Go to Preview to see what the survey looks like for your raters.
